Calling guest posts on science policy

Science research is intertwined with policy and politics. Scientists are impacted everyday by the decisions of policy makers including allocation of funding, strategies and laws. In turn, the outcomes of science can change government policy. Science Calling wants to explore this important link through its newest series, The SciPol Impact.

This series features a variety of guest posts and will run around Science Week (mid to late November) . Examples of policy stories:

  • The basic versus applied debate
  • Funding prioritization & its potential impact
  • Green industry & climate change strategy
  • Conservation of species
  • Stem cell research

If you are interested in participating in The SciPol Impact, please contact me on maria@sciencecalling.com asap. Guest posts are typically 600 – 800 words but other forms of media are also accepted (video / podcast).
